Good morning folks! Welcome to the first day of May. It's rainy and cold here but should be warming up this month. Still a danger of frost here but shouldn't be any more snow.
Yesterday was busy and painful. We went to pick up groceries I ordered online but then went to the dollar store. My knees and back were not happy about it. Drew brought the car up to get me at the door as I could barely walk. I really miss my young pain free body. So I spent the rest of the day in bed and on the couch. We watched a few movies as he wasn't having a great day either.
We've both been walking up so early these past few months. It's not unusual for us to be up for the day, drinking coffee, at 3am! Today it was closer to 4:30 but hubby says I didn't sleep much. I know I was up a couple times but he heard me moaning in pain in my sleep even when I could sleep.
Toni how is your foot? I hope it is starting to heal some. Makes getting around difficult if you can't put a shoe on. You'll just have to wear a nice soft pair of slippers - everywhere lol
I'm sure Sandra and Doug are having a good time on their holiday. I'm sorry I missed the send - off yesterday.
Going for now but I'll be back later to check on everyone. Have a good day and take care of yourselves. Rest is a good thing!
Peace and hugs, ssLisa (Soul Sister Lisa)

89FToday it is again another hot day but cooler then yesterday. Since this is August it is to be expected in my neck of the woods. All the grass is yellow and flowers are starting to go to seed. I need to water my garden but this time of the year I'm so over it, which is weird because all my plants have their fruit or veggies.Sandra, this time of year reminds me of your Dad and his toms. We'd...

i decided that a nice, cheap outing would be nice. claire called asking to come over just as i was going to call her, so i found a neighborhood-wide yard sell in a nice neighborhood, so we're going to that. i'm going to wear my knee sleeve and bring a pain pill. i may have to take a break in a car, but i can just stick around the building any longer.
i got my pain mgmt and podiatrist appts moved up to next week. we're heading out soon. i hope your day goes well.
hugs n hope
Lisa waving the magic wand your way that your pain gives you a break enough to get some decent sleep. Sleep is so important to us physically and mentally wish I had the answer. Helpful you at least can order online your groceries, seems more places are doing it.
Serenity I'm thankful your doctors got your appointments ready next week. You reminded me there's an all town yard sale near here, fun! You'll have to tell us if you got any good deals. You need that magic wand to knock you out too! Wish I maypole wish I might! Hehe!
My foot is healing, but feels very tight from it. The pain is shooting up my leg, I'll be glad when's it done. My biggest problem with it is falling down in the 1st place, it's scaring the heebie newbies out of me. I don't need my legs to go weak on me and go down ever again. My Neuro said there was scaring on my brain and spine .on my myelin sheath, but with my prior problems he expected more. There's hope for me ; ).
A question: I think we've all had our vaccines, when do you plan on taking off your masks?
I realized yesterday after having mine for a month I was just wearing it to keep others comfortable so I didn't wear when I picked up dog food and meds, I felt so naked!
Peace love harmony xoxo
Lisa-good to see you and wished there was answer to your pain. If you rest and watch movies will it help?
Serenity-I'm glad you have a podiatrist and pain management update and in particular the podiatrist. I hope there is an answer.
Toni-I will continue on wearing my mask post vaccination as long as mandated here in my state. The only time I'll take it off is outside to eat and with other vaccinated friends.
Today our plans have changed due to the weather. Mario wanted to lift my spirits from the situation with Mom/Dad and the boys. The only difference having them in assisted care living and when they were in their own place is very little. Mom doesn't have to cook. She still does all the housework and car for Dad and calls on us to drop off things.
Tuesday my insurance nurse comes for a check-up and to have questions answered. I need to know why my blood thinner is $347.00 for ninety days. How can I lower this.
PEACE
Serenity yard sales sounds like fun. They haven't started around here yet, probably sometime in June. Did you get anything good?
Moonie too bad about the weather ruining your plans. Did you get out to do something with Mario anyway?
Toni glad to hear your foot is improving. I haven't been vaccinated yet. It hasn't reached my age group yet and we hardly have any Covid here so it's not high on my priority list. Masks are mandated here so, like Moonie said, I'll wear mine until it's no longer a requirement. I can imagine it would feel strange to go into public without it now.
I'm spending the day on the couch again. I did do a small project I could sit down for but nothing more. Watching movies and playing my games helps to distract me and relaxed me so I don't stay so tensed up. I'm using ice packs, a little extra meds and self massage on what I can teach. Drew puts pain cream on my back for me and places the electrodes for my TENS. It doesn't stop the pain but makes it tolerable, usually. Nerve pain is the worst. Since my last shot into my SI joint wore off its been nasty.
But enough moaning from me. Supper is on and I'm so hungry. Have a good night. I hope we all get a good night's sleep.

I'm here in Cornwall. Weve had sunshine and showers.
We left at 5;45 this morning and got to Sidmouth in 4 hours.
We spent some time there on the beach and around the shops.
Then travelled on to our destination which took another 2 hours.
Its been a long day!
The beach is so beautiful here! I paddled my feet just in-case i dont get another chance because of the weather.
I'm very tired, i hope we sleep well.
Lisa, i'm so sorry your in so much pain. Movies and games is a good idea. I love the picture.
Toni, We are not aloud to go mask free yet despite lots of pple having had their vaccine. Its not up to us, its upto our government. There was talk about June being the month when we can go without.
We have our second vac on the 15th : )
monnie, wowza that is a lot of money. Its hard isnt it, switching off from thinking about parents all the time. Ive got my sister back home while away, but i'm still thinking about Dad .
Serenity, that sounds like fun, i hope you find some treasure : )
