Last night my son from Georgia called to say his car was totaled in a hit and run accident. So today I'm looking for cars to buy in Georgia for him so he can get to work. Hunter has mental health issues and no medical insurance to his bills are high. He just got a new job where an apartment is provided as he transfers patients to apointments, they are in rehab.
Sandra, how was work? Do you plan on retiring when you hit the age to retire or keep on working? Here in the states many are still working after retirement age just like Mario. A few of my friends chose to work in places like book stores or coffee/tea rooms when retirement.
Carly, there are several ways I make soups and stews in a pan on the stove, use my crockpot, or insta pot. It depends on what kind of stew or soap I"m making. In fact I'm making cabbage soup today with chicken. Also, I'll make either biscuits or cornbread. I have homemade plum jam.

Is Hunter the son that was a chef and he's got bipolar? Sometimes with our car insurance we can get a curtasy car to use but it depends on the policy. I hope you find him a replacement car.
Yeah work was ok. I always say I can't wait to retire, but who knows how I will feel when the time comes. I actually sent off for a pension forecast because I found an old one, and I worked out I'd actually be better off. I won't get the full pension because I've not worked fully all my life. But I only do 2 days a week, the money I get now a month is less than my forecast pension.
Of course to someone like Doug who works full time he'll get way less a month than his wages now.
Bills are getting higher and higher, don't know about you but our food shopping has risen so much. And there is talk of gas and electric going up a huge amount over the winter.
Carly, Joanne has forgotten to answer about her ablation, I'm pretty sure it was last year? Hopefully she'll see this and remember.
I prefer to cook soup on the stove too in a pan . Like you say you can stir and taste.

Carly, total soup in a pan. I cook EVERYthing on the stove. I just don't like microwaving. I can't stop and season a touch of this, a smidge of that, you know how it goes!
I'm sorry I was MIA. Lotta pain and an invasion of crabgrass to be uprooted before it seeded. I was moving my flowerbed rock fence, about 25lb 12kg per rock and after a hundred rocks? I was DONE. But so is the crabgrass, ha ha! Very calming to get in there and dig out the stuff with my fingfers, relieved a LOT of stress.
On retirement: Can't afford it so I just make sure I can eat and have meds every month, and figure the rest out as I go if needed. My bad luck to lose my 401k in 2008 and then be basically a stay-at-home caretaker (unpaid, of course) for the last decade. I can probably afford to take one trip to the beach, LOL
