Hello there! I'm back from another hiatus. I never plan to stay away so long, life just gets in the way. And also my own mind. I really believe I get s.a.d.d because I seem to get 'down' around the end of the winter. When everyone else is getting spring and we're still getting snow. We had some just last week.
We've been getting an awful lot of rain this year mostly mixed with snow so far. Sunday was beautiful and 70F; the nicest day we've had yet. We went out a drive just to enjoy it. The leaf buds are just starting on my lilac tree. No leaves anywhere yet though, the trees are still bare and ugly. I love spring but not until my flowers start growing. There's a couple up now but I can't even tell what they are yet except one tiny hosta and the sedum.
The weather hasn't been very good for my body that's for sure. I've been in alot of pain since about new years. My knees are so bad I'm barely able to walk even with a cane. To the bathroom and back to the couch is a huge trip and so painful. We had to pick up a few things at the store today so now I'm in bed feeling awful! My whole spine hurts from lumbar to cervical. As well as my knees and shoulders.
Well I need to go read up on what's happening in here. I'll be in for the daily thread tomorrow. Hope you are all ok. Oh Toni, I read today's thread and see you had a bad fall. I hope you're getting some rest and so glad you didn't break yourself.
Peace and hugs,
ssLisa

89FToday it is again another hot day but cooler then yesterday. Since this is August it is to be expected in my neck of the woods. All the grass is yellow and flowers are starting to go to seed. I need to water my garden but this time of the year I'm so over it, which is weird because all my plants have their fruit or veggies.Sandra, this time of year reminds me of your Dad and his toms. We'd...

I did have to go to the dreaded Walmart and pick up a phone card just enough for my wounds to swell back up. I'm staying off my feet for the rest of the and behaving as much as the dogs let me.
i sure know what you mean about the last dragging days of winter, esp when i lived in NY and you're even farther north. glad you're seeing signs of spring and enjoying it. i hope it keeps coming and brightens things up for you.
i'm in a new pain clinic and they've given me info on a spinal cord stimulator to consider. not sure about that.
sending a bouquet of hugs
Lisa, its good to have you back with us : )
I totality hate the winter, it seems to last forever. I feel ours lasts for 5 months. Like from November to the end of march. Even April this year has been cold with frosty nights.
Have you ever thought about getting one of those lights for seasonal disorder?
So sorry to hear your in a lot of pain, some things cant be cured, and sadly its about pain management, pills or alternative medicine.
My sister has fibro and she's always hurting despite pills everyday.
Some Gps better than others.
