Good morning circle! How are we all today? The sun is shining here in my corner of the world and glistening with the fresh snow that fell over the last couple days. It's pretty but tomorrow it's supposed to rain so I'll enjoy the pretty winter scene outside my windows today while it lasts.
I'm working on a crocheted baby blanket for my niece's new baby Lacey. Just finishing the last square then it's assembly and trim Should be able to finish it for the shower on Sunday. All my family will be there (females mostly) so it will be a nice chance to visit with everyone and catch up on family news.
On the pain front it's been a bad week. I missed out on all my fun activities (crokinole and crafting night) but it would have been worse had I gone. Didn't even feel up to going in for my xray yet. The weekend holds lots of activity if I can manage it but I certainly won't be able to do it all My crafting group is holding an all day scrapbooking event with potluck lunch on Saturday until 4:30 pm then at 5 is my monthly games night and potluck at the same place. Then Sunday is the baby shower which I won't miss, weather permitting. I'm thinking of trying to make the Saturday evening event, we'll see. I don't have any pictures printed for scrapbooking anyway.
What are you up to today? Weekend plans? Let's here it!
Peace and hugs, ssLisa
PS - I have internet at home now so I hope to be online here more regularly. Yaay!

89FToday it is again another hot day but cooler then yesterday. Since this is August it is to be expected in my neck of the woods. All the grass is yellow and flowers are starting to go to seed. I need to water my garden but this time of the year I'm so over it, which is weird because all my plants have their fruit or veggies.Sandra, this time of year reminds me of your Dad and his toms. We'd...

Lisa-I crochet too and that is a very good thing for hands and fingers. I hate the amount of pain that keeps you home. Have fun at the shower.
This our date brunch morning so heading out to Tippy Canoe. At the moment smiling at the orchids my Valentine bought me. I love orchids and look forward for when they rebloom. Indoor plants help with cleaning the air, a very good thing.
My body has realized the lowering of the prednisone but my goal is to be completely off by the summer. This is a good decision for my health but not for the pain level. We all nave to make choices and this is all on me.
Come on come all..............
PEACE
hi Moon, your tippy canoe sounds like a fun and well deserved retreat. how sweet of your valentine to present you with orchids, such a sweetheart. sounds like lowering the predinsone will cause more pain, sorry to hear it. yet will benefit in other ways. wish you did not have to suffer. enjoy your brunch.
snow has yet to fall from the roof on the backside of the house...its absolutely beautiful but scary at the same time, hanging over with humoungus icecicles ill be glad when it falls so i wont worry about it falling on our heads.
we feel like it was a mistake going out yesterday....doing laundry to clean and sanitize bedding etc today. pace pace pace. you all have a good day okay...and Happy Friday to ya!
Lisa you sure do keep busy out in the boonies. I'm glad you've found friends to socialize with since you moved. I bet your baby blanket is beautiful and will be appreciated. Hope your pain levels don't increase from your journey to and fro. It will be great seeing more of you on here. Congrats on home internet! More keeping in touch with family too :).
Moonie high water levels on the river and a houseboat is a plus. I'm still so happy you and Mario found your home :). Nice to get orchids from your sweeties. Such beautiful flowers. Indoor plants are great for cleaning the air and for decorating. Wish I had more. A good brunch to ya. Sorry for the high level of pain. Wish there were alternatives for you.
Erika knock those iciciles down! They are dangerous. Love fresh bedding! Pacing is always a good thing. A grand day to you ;)
I have to give the hairy monsters a bath today. Wish it wasn't so much work. They get fresh bedding too Erika.
Yesterday I missed 2 phone calls, both doctors had called. My GP had called about my labs, I called just a bit ago and talked to the nurse that said he wanted to thank me for getting them done, strange. I looked at my labs online and there are some numbers off. The kidney doc left a message that my WBC came back with some problems and was pending at this time. Different labs, different results. I do know the bacteria is gone, but the pain remains. I'm so ready for this to be over. None of us like extra trouble do we?
It's suppose to start raining here later, then turn to snow, then sleet. Tired of that stuff too. Spring is on the way! Next month is March and we don't have far to go at least I keep telling myself that :).
Have a keep warm, be true to yourself day...xoxo
I had work today, so tired and cant wait for bed time.
lisa, so glad you have internet at home now : ) It will be very nice to have you join in each day!
moonie, enjoy your brunch out. My dad has orchids : ) Do you remember he got put on prednisone, he managed to get off them, i hope you do too : )
e4now....after weve had colds thats the first thing i like to do, strip the bed and wash everything! Thing is i always end up doing it when i'm not quite 100% better and wearing myself out in the process.
rocket, i'm dissapointed you didnt get the results that would have given a solution to exactly what is going on. Its like you went for the results but came back none the wiser.
My hair loss is hereditary female baldness. Both my brothers went bald before my dad did.
Oh yeah... i got some twinkies from my shop: )
Going to have one later with my cup of tea.
hugs
i'm so sleep deprived. when i wake up to go to the BR during the night it starts my leg throbbin, so between rubds, sprays and advil i can't eventually get back to sleep. did have a very nice visit from my sister today. she has such a busy life we rarely get alone time. my arms are so strained from rolling that wheelchair. i'm ready to be back to mostly mobile with a cane..
sweet dreams everyone
