Me too. I like walking on the beach between November to February. Spring, Summer and Autumn are full of surfers and lately I see people fishing. It is about 5 degrees celsius here which isn't too bad. My house is really warm because we are in the valley and a bit high up so spring and summer are the worst seasons. I have two fans on and an air conditioner upstairs.

Summers here are awful. Very humid and hot. I used to live in Arizona so I am used to dry heat but after 20 years living here, I still struggle with the humidity.

Right now it is 1:30 Monday afternoon. So I guess we are ahead.

I haven't been able to sleep today either. I have been up since 4:30 yesterday afternoon. One of my many issues I still haven't solved.

Could you take dyphenhydromine? Its stuff in benedryl but sold as sleeping pills here at pharmacy over counter at walgreens as walsom! There is now zzquil which is same as nyquil w/out cough suppressants! Its held me sleep too

Koyu from time, I had when you posted your time, it is good 13 hrs difference ahead of east coast here. I knew Spain was 6 hr ahead of me. So this makes sense. I cannot stand humidity . even just hot days any more really bother me. My fav time of yr for the beach here on east coast is in the fall; after everyone leaves also. very relaxing and meditating for me walking on the beach. very calming also. Not a swimmer even in a pool let alone the ocean. yes i have stuck my feet in the ocean a few times. or the waves catch me while walking.

I am in rut right now, up late, and up early. So yes i take naps..or at least lay down on couch with TV on. I was doing good. going to bed after news and sleeping all night, good 8 hrs plus a lazy getting awake 1/2. But lately I am on this manic mind of thoughts once more, which we go thru , or well, some of us relate. And have no clue to why. If i have no clue how do you talk to therapist. She asks me questions and i just shrug..have no clue what to say. She is good. Been with this same lady since I moved here and house broken into middle of night. ( I was here ). With me thru the assault one yr later, So she knows me pretty well I would say. Says I am to hard on myself, and I have PSD, some of this is to be expected.

I have to have central air. Window units bother me to much. That is something i have to look for when/if i down size. unit/house has central air.

billwfriend, I wish those over counter suggestions worked for me. Well they do first few times I use them, but then I guess i get immune to them.

Thank you for the suggestions. I will look into in and see if it is sold in drugstores here. Insomnia is a 40 year struggle for me. It is very rare when I can sleep through the night.

Koyu: working 3 shift for 38 + yrs straight through did not help my body clock since retirement. I worked over time so only had one night off a week, and no way your body can change sleep pattern for one night. It has taken me yrs to even get to sleep pattern I do have. But for some reason i think i was meant to be night owl. even in high school was up half the nights... we only got 3 channels. but if i knew Robert Mitchem was on, i would sneak, back down stairs...to watch him. such a handsome, sexy voice, man he was. so cool. Hard to find any of his movies any more. Any one remember him???? HAHA some of you were not born then. He was just rugged handsome, and a bad boy . LOL

lol Oldkitty, "mother nature needs meds adjusted" good one! I am only on p 1 of responses so may mk a 2nd response dont know. But I am just watching awards now, the next day on hulu. I don't care much about these award shows anymore...not sure if I ever did, but liked to see certain stars I guess. Mostly would get jealous thinking, I worked hard all year, noone giving me a trophy and applause. lol

I agree must be odd hving birthday only every 4 years. And I bet thet get ripped off on birthday presents, like I did. cuz my birthday close to Christmas. On the positive side, you could hv an age much younger than your years. How does that work on drivers licences and stuff? I'm sure its figured out in the programming behind the scenes.

Yes I think the DMV has leap years figured into the computers...LOL I know the date just comes ever four years but they can program four year leap day into computer look at the date bar on yours today...LOL It is there Feb 29th 2016......LOL

I did go out today out to the new insurance guy for my car,....I have insurance guy who is in AA and the guy I was using was someone who I had sold advertising to years ago and bought my car insurance from him for better deal than other insurance I had....I just transferred the policy from one broker to the other by signing a paper from Progressive....my buddy in AA will now get the money from commissions, the advertising given by progressive and benefits of dealing with me :-)

On way home stopped by the grocery store to get six sodas as I had run out....anyway I was bad bought a hershey king sized bar and Milkyway Dark.....Love chocolate....diabetic I shouldn't but ate both on drive home...LOL

I was gonna say Hillshire Farms....the other sausage in more stores is Ekrich sausages...I have some in my fridge now from Save a Lot which is off name brand sausages but I am sure just as tasty and less expensive....I usually buy the name brand stuff with coupons....I am a couponer...yup I am willing to shop with the money benefit of a 25cent coupon too....LOL

Today I got a mailer that had get a $25 Walmart Gift Card....I looked thru and all I have to do is go to their website and fill out a form that is prefilled by the code on my offer....print out the form that then comes up and buy any item from any of the advertisers in the stuffed envelope....well one of those advertisers was Harbor Freight Tools which I use alot anyway and had stuff for just over a dollar so I am going to buy item and put the item receipt to the form and get myself $25 gift card from Walmart....they also had another car parts place in their advertising and they had another coupon I did not read completely but I think I can get $25 or $50 gift card from that one but not sure what hoop I have to jump thru....

well I made the purchase required to get my $25 gift card to Walmart....I just need to put the form and the receipt into envelope and get a stamp as I am out of stamps right now....then mail them into the address and I will receive my gift card in mail.....

what is more exciting is that I got the hardware for my car online to fix the back door interior door handle....see I broke my door handle on front door on pass side and cannibalized my back door on same side to get the handle out of it....so ever since there has been no inside door handle on it and the locking mechanism has become corrupted to force me to lift the little knob inside to allow the door to be opened on outside too....

So inside the flyer was ad for Rockauto.com they had an entire repair kit for $54.59 after shipping where the dealership wanted over $80 for just the handle....yeay rockauto.com

I am also supposed to get $50 target card for signing up for trial of some tasteforsavings site....I did have to pay $1.95 to get that trial but I found they change it to $24.99 if you do not cancel each month after the 30day trial....so I will be cancelling that....I wrote everything down too....so I hope this is not a bad thing....also supposed to get $1000 worth of grocery coupons...I am excited at these prospects but will report back after things either pan out or not....LOL
