I've been having a lot of anxiety about climate change and global warming recently because of the things happening in the world, and I really want to help change but most people really couldn't care less and that makes my anxiety worse, I don't want to eat or drink cause I'm scared I'm gonna contribute to climate change, I know that it's the companies that are making all of this happen and stuff since most people can't afford anything else, I had just started getting a hang of handeling my ocd and depression and I was actually starting to feel at ease and hoping for the better, but now that I've seen all the stuff on climate change and how we as a human race don't exactly have much time left if this continues, I can't even get up out of my bed, I don't want to take showers because of water waste, I'm really considering suicide cause I really cannot see any point in anything right now, I'm only sixteen I had goals for my future, I'm having very bad anxiety right now, I wish rich older generations had listened to scientists and stopped caring so much about themselves and money, I'm below the poverty line so I'm most likely going to be one of the many people who will die due to this, why does this have to happen, I just want to live my life and have fun but what's the point, my parents think I'm overreacting, most people do, Idk what to do

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...

It's good to think about the environment, but unfortunately one person can't stop the climate from doing what it is going to do. It is all part of nature. The earth has many millions of years left to be here for us.
Stay off social media and get out of the house, go do things outside, hang out with friends who are fun, and worry more about your school and what job you will be getting soon. Maybe you can do some volunteer work toward cleaning up the roads or highways or beaches or parks. They have groups that pick up the litter and trash laying around. That would help the climate a lot more than you not taking a shower. Look into other things, such as recycling your cans and bottles (you'll make a few bucks too!). Lots of little things that you can do right now that are more productive than you not eating or drinking (which does nothing at all to help the environment). Look into tutoring or mentoring someone less fortunate. Helping other people really makes you feel happy and energized!
You will feel much better once you do things that you have control over, as @Bobby5000 said above.
