I am a big defender of human rights, whether it be regarding color, race, or gender.
Awhile back we had a discussion about women's pay vs men's pay, and I asserted that women generally earn less than men not only in the United States but around the world. I still think they do and it is just deplorable that women have been treated so badly on a global scale throughout the years.
Here is a good article regarding the pay gap among genders-----

They would be 20 years old. I was R**** on June...

The medical director ( a doctor) where I work is female and she used to be a nurse. She states that hands down she made more per hour as a nurse than she is now as a doctor.....just saying.... She also says that it was harder to make it through nursing school.....
Both sides need to shut up, sit down together, pick a single fair/unbiased method of determining what the pay gap is AND the REASONS for it existing, then use only that method for studying the issue.
OTOH I'm having a hard time imagining how a one *difference* factor could be found. For one thing would it cover all occupations. ? . (Someplace in the. 80%'s ?). My thinking (as a novice) : it's to be a case-by-case (or class actions, each) basis.
