I'll read all of this later R... This sounds almost exactly like Robert's case with the exception his conviction hasn't been overturned... and his cancer is in remission... He'll be having a clemency hearing within the next few weeks I wish I felt more hopeful... No one ever wants to be accountable or wrong within 'the system' and it is a horror story...xo

I will add my prayers for this to be made right for the false conviction...my heart aches for the whole saga...

Louisiana and their prison system is a total embarrassment to humanity. I have helped mothers down there with sons in prison, and it is just the pits there. It took me and her six months to get her son moved from a medium to a minimum where he should have been according to classification. Get this---they had not even classified the poor kid and just threw him into a medium security prison with only a three year sentence. There is no excuse for that.

Mississippi and Alabama are really terrible also.

But Florida is really an awful state to serve time. The prisons are not so bad or dirty or outdated, but their attitude toward offenders just really upsets me. And for sex offenders or registrants, Florida is like Kryptonite to Superman.

The entire Bible Belt is mostly a bunch of rednecks and their prison systems are equally as bad.

The best prison systems in the United States are in the New England states. They are more progressive and are not as apt to use the "eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth" attitude toward people in prison.

Yes, the bible belt is the worst. And, attitude towards offenders is correct...especially the registrant process for sex offenders.

So glad you were able to help with the classification process. The two weeks I worked in the prison system taught me just how easy it is to error administratively on this process.

This is a tough one R.... I feel really badly for this man... God bless him.... I can't imagine a court would get involved though in setting a president for someone that was involved in a crime even if they weren't the main 'player'
Please know that I do feel the utmost compassion... I'm just trying to look at the whole picture.... It's horrific what this man has gone through... And it's terrible what he's continuing to go through
I think the people in the system NEED to be held accountable when grave injustices have been made and often made intentionally... I just don't know how they will compensate if someone has been involved in the crime....It sux... The punishment surely didn't fit the crime for this poor soul... Perhaps that's what the argument should be... Very sad

Iam not at all surprised he has been denied the composition. ....hear they have put a stop to any sort of compo for those who like this guy are innocent and done prison time yes they do the court thing to prove there innocent but no compo.
