This scripture was part of a devotional.
Paul is telling us to expose the works of darkness (satan's work) by having no part of it and by rising above it and walking in truth and righteousness.
You are children of My kingdom where light and love rule and where darkness has no place. Arise to your position where Satan has nothing in you and you have nothing in him. Be done with criticism, judgment, hatred, gossip, slander and backbiting, for these choices and attitudes allow the devil access to your soul. I say again, refuse to allow him to use you as an instrument of his evil intentions. Let My kingdom be established in you, says the Lord.
Luke 6:41-42 "And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not perceive the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, 'Brother, let me remove the speck that is in your eye,' when you yourself do not see the plank that is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck that is in your brother's eye."
Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning.
Thanks Pauli !!!!
I'm happy you're back.
arm yourselves also with the same attitude,
because he who has suffered in his body is done with sin.
1 Peter 4:1
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
"Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.
Jesus said, “For judgment I have come into this world, so that the blind will see and those who see will become blind.”
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
One day the angels came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came with them.
Satan answered the LORD, “From roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it.”
8 Then the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.”
David, this got me wanting to read this so I posted the next few verses.
“How then were your eyes opened?” they demanded.
He replied, “The man they call Jesus made some mud and put it on my eyes. He told me to go to Siloam and wash. So I went and washed, and then I could see.”
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me".
