It has been a week today since my SCS implant. I love it. I don't like the pain waking me up whenever it wants, but I am healing good. I got up at 3 this morning, but that's just the way it is.

You people would each get a bear hug if I could reach you, but I want to tell you that your love and genuine care for me and others is overwhelming. My eyes are tearing up as I write this because I am truly Blessed.

I have the rest of this week off and the surgeon said if I think I need more time he would write me out longer. My doctors and nurses and workers' comp have been great through this whole thing.

My new job limits my internet access to morning and night, but I read all day on my Blackberry.

David, Can you tell yet if it is helping you? I didn't know if it was hard to tell with the surgical pain, but been waiting to hear. I continue to pray for your healing and health.

I am taking oxycodone for the surgical pain, so it's too soon too tell if the success will be the same as the trial.

I can tell you that I am getting better by the day and the stimulator is working properly. I see my PM on Wednesday and the surgeon the first week of August.

Thanks for all the support and I'll keep ya'll posted.

David you are always such a Sweetheart! It's great to hear that your healing is going good. Don't be afraid to take all the time you need off from work to heal up properly! Better safe than sorry my friend.

I'm sure I speak for many when I say that WE are blessed to have you here. You are such a positive person and so caring and thoughtful - I look forward to coming here and reading posts and I know that if I write something, anything, you will usually be there with words of encouragement and support.

Its great to hear the scs is working, hopefully it will continue to do so even after the surgical meds are done. I can't believe you are going back to work so quickly... best of luck to you.
