It has been a week today since my SCS implant. I love it. I don't like the pain waking me up whenever it wants, but I am healing good. I got up at 3 this morning, but that's just the way it is.
You people would each get a bear hug if I could reach you, but I want to tell you that your love and genuine care for me and others is overwhelming. My eyes are tearing up as I write this because I am truly Blessed.
I have the rest of this week off and the surgeon said if I think I need more time he would write me out longer. My doctors and nurses and workers' comp have been great through this whole thing.
My new job limits my internet access to morning and night, but I read all day on my Blackberry.

Well I went to my PM doc today. He didn't do the surgery, but he said that it's healing good. I also met the Boston Scientific Rep. there and she made some adjustments.
After talking with my PM he decided to write me out of work for two more weeks. I told him that my goal is to reduce the amount of narcs I'm on, so I told him I didn't want any more of the post-op meds, and I will stick with what he usually prescribed, which wasn't much.
The implant is working great so far. I have had trouble sleeping, but I am healing good. I go back to work on the 25th of July and back to see the surgeon on August 5th.
I really appreciate all of you as my extended family and I wish you all nothing but the best!!
