Stillbirth Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have been impacted by a stillbirth. A stillbirth occurs when a fetus which has died in the uterus, during labor, or during delivery exits a woman's body. For help and support, share your experiences and learn how others coped. Don't forget that you are not alone.
Now that I'm trying to get pregnant (with no luck for the passed 5 months), I hate seeing pregnant women and the sonograms they post on Facebook, especially when it's a second or third child. I try so hard to be happy for people but it is sooooo hard. I want to be a mom so badly and it makes me feel bad that I am jealous of other people. I think right now, that is what I have a hard time getting passed as well.
I am so sorry for your loss. I don't know why we have to go through this much pain and then to have trouble conceiving is just rubbing salt into the wound. I'm glad you joined this group. It's filled with amazing women who understand completely. I'll be praying for your BFP. ((Lots of Hugs))
My friend and I got pregnant at the same time, with the idea that we would both be on maternity leave together and get to spend time together with our babies.
Looking back now it was a disaterous plan.
I still can't believe that things turned out so bad for me in the end. I see her posts on facebook about her new arrival and I feel so jealous. I know I will watch her baby reach its milestones in life - first tooth, first birthday etc. and I will think that my baby would have been the same age etc.
But it is something those of us who lose babies all have to deal with. There will always be other babies and I hope we can just learn to cope with that as time goes on.
Please do not feel guilty about feeling jealous and resentful; it is normal and you cannot help what you feel. I find it so strange that I can be experiencing so many different emotions at the same time. It is confusing and exhausting.
I am so sorry for your struggle. We are here for you! ((hugs))
My sister in law is pregnant with a boy (my angel is a boy) and I just want to hide from her for, like, five years. My son was supposed to be the first grandbaby by a year and a half!! Sometimes I hope whatever happened to my son is genetic and their boy gets it too...but of COURSE I change my mind two seconds later and hope and hope and pray their baby gets here okay. I dread seeing her, but she lives ten minutes away and our husbands are really close brothers so I have to suck it up. I lie awake thinking about her stupid baby shower and how I can't go but I am going to feel so terrible when I don't because I know how much it would mean to her. Then, when I see her, it's fine and great and I feel terribly guilty and just awful for my jealousy and anger.
There's not much we can do except get through our feelings. You can't make them something different, and it would only be harder on everyone if you tried. Your situation is frustrating and sad and annoying and angering and awful...and you deserve to feel all the feelings involved because you have to live through them! I totally get what you are saying--you are not alone. Good luck.
My mother always says to me that God needs to get his angels from somewhere, and I should be proud that he chose my little girl to be one.
Hugs to all of you
