About Me

I am 41 years old and lost my son on November 11th. I went into the doctor on Wednesday the 9th because I was having a small amount of brown discharge. At that time, the doctor felt that everything was ok. My cervix was closed and the babys heartbeat was strong. He asked me to go home, rest, and drink lots of fluids. About 9 oclock that evening I started to have stomach pains similar to menstrual pains. I told my husband that I was not feeling well and took a Tylenol and went to bed. That night I had a hard time sleeping because I was uncomfortable, however attributed it to growing pains or stretching since I was at my doctors and everything was reported to be fine. I woke up in the morning and called in sick to work and was going to just relax. This was on Thursday the 10th my birthday. I tried to take a shower and had extreme pain in my stomach. My husband had already left for work, so he rushed home and took me to the hospital. By the time I got to to the hospital I was already dilated to 2. They did everything they could to stop the contractions and were successful to do that when I was dilated to 4, however the next problem was my water bag began to leak and then it ruptured. They had me on antibiotics to try to stop any form of infection. I was prepared to be in the hosp for 5-6 wks to make sure that the baby was viable, however unfortunately that did not work either. They had stopped contractions, however when they came into check the babys heartbeat at 11 pm he had passed away. The computer did not register any contractions for more than 6 hours, however when my doctor checked me I was already dilated to 10. I had to deliver my deceased son at 12:35 on the 11th. He was 1 pound 5 ounces and 11.5 inches long. We named him, Hunter Michael. We had to bury him and is now laid to rest next to my mom. I feel like I just want to die. I cant believe God took my son. I am so sad I have NO idea how to cope with this loss. He was a beautiful baby boy. With two arms, legs, 10 fingers, 10 toes, a nose, mouth, two eyes, two ears...Everything was perfect. They say that my placenta ruptured. Something that happens less than one percentIt is so unfair. We loved him and wanted him so much. I have no idea how life can go from perfect to tragic in less than 20 hours. It is absolutely HORRIBLE pain that I am dealing with right now. I dont now how much more my shoulders can bear.
