I too have these panic feelings from time to time...

I try to steady my breathing by inhaling through my nose and exhaling through my mouth. I visualize clean air coming in, and shame (grey air) going out. While doing this, I concentrate on something safe, a tree, a puppy, a song.

When I am settled, then I can go through and sort out the thoughts that lead to my panic.
