I am sorry his comments have triggered you so severely. I have my own opinions about Trump and none of them are good. Is there any way you can avoid social media and the news for a while? I rarely watch the news unless it's to get the weather report. I don't look at newspapers and I avoid any news websites. I also avoid Facebook now because too many people were posting pictures of abused animals which is a huge trigger for me. Avoidance in this case works very well.

Yes, his revolting comments and the attitude behind them were extremely triggering for me too. Based on the hullabaloo they caused, I think that was the case for vast numbers of women everywhere. I agree with LE that we should avoid news and social media sometimes. Getting the people around us to lay off is a little harder. But now that the debate took place maybe everyone will be talking about something else for a while.

Sometimes certain situations that you can avoid, triggers and whatnot, if you can avoid it, it'd be best if you did. For me, reading about assault and abuse is a trigger. So maybe not necessarily pictures, visuals, or opinions are triggering, but for some reason reading about it and having it described to me in detail is a trigger. So I try not to read books, articles, stories on the news about assault or abuse. And I think if hearing about the bs trump says is a trigger, maybe get off Facebook till it all calms down. Trust me, as much as I hate to say it since the news about trump is serious news, in a week from now it'll just be old news. And getting online won't be such a big deal. Know what I mean?

Have people gone insane? Some people are still supporting him! You would think his continual desire to date his daughter would have been enough to get people not to vote for him.

This election is one big joke. The is nothing on both sides to vote for. Neither candidate has said anything ( WHY I WANT TO BE PRESIDENT ) All it was throughout there campaigns is you did this, you said that, if you talk about me i will talk about you. As far as im concerned this election is rigged just like it was eight years ago when Obama got into office. How do you become a senator for one year and next be behind the greatest desk in all america. Americans votes does not count. The delegates on the convention floor including the children that should be home studying on a school night are there to decide and learn your new future. American voters are just an opinion, it mean nothing. My opinion and all of this was my opinion. I have a right to an opinion. Don't vote. Let them spend there money like they spent our. I'm out. ( I WANT MY MONEY BACK!! )

Like I said I'm Canadian. And this topic wasn't really about politics. More than his recent scandals triggered stuff for me. I appreciate those replies who were related to the triggers. And not political post. Not even my country. I mean I have the best prime minister in power so it doesn't affect me nearly as much.
