Self-Injury Support Group
Whether you or someone you know or love struggles with self-injury, this is the community to discuss your experience, find support, meet others going through the same, and get advice on how to stop. Working together, we can help find alternative coping skills to reduce the urge to self-harm.
Talking to a new guy who you don't really know is not the way to go, that's what Therapist's who know about your illness and are trained to deal with it are for. I don't mean to be too blunt, but cutting urges are hard enough to fight, putting yourself in the hands of someone you don't really know, someone who's thoughts on the subject you don't know....that can cause you alot of emotional damage. You have to be careful what you give to new people in your life, until you make sure they are going to be in life for a while...you have to take care of yourself first.
Talking to your Pdoc or Therapist if you have either about the Urges and learning what coping skills you might use to help control them would be the best option to go with.
Take care,
