Self-Injury Support Group
Whether you or someone you know or love struggles with self-injury, this is the community to discuss your experience, find support, meet others going through the same, and get advice on how to stop. Working together, we can help find alternative coping skills to reduce the urge to self-harm.
Are you seeing a therapist?
If you can, please spend some time today reading what the professionals have to say about finding useful coping skills. I leave you a starting point resource:

Also, please place a copy of this post at this DS community support group; that site is more active and this will be of stronger support for you.

Also, I know that what the so called "professionals" have to say isn't always right. It's opinion based and if they don't understand it's not going to work. I would only go a hospital if you are going to kill yourself because they treat you like shit. I'm not trying to be rude I'm just being honest. There is nothing to do there but think and be locked up. It sucks. Do you have any friends you could be with? That might help if you were with someone.
AmbiTLC thanks for the links.
Thanks Jess. I am trying to be safe. I haven't done anything yet but that is because I am at my friends mothers and have confined where I can be unless I need the bathroom to her couch so I cant reach anything I could be stupid with. I am trying to relieve the pain as best I can but it doesn't work. Just flat out feels like my heart has been through a cheese grater.
LoveAlice thanks for your support. It turms out I kinda realized that every time I changed he was telling me more to change. So I sent him a text asking him to tell me the real reason and that helped a bit. I was able to point out that leaving me because he feels like I don't put in enough into the relationship (please tell me how I am supposed to go on a moonlight walk or something right now when I am weak from medical issues and allergic to the cold and live in MA). I am feeling really bad. He was with me so long, we were engaged. I truly thought I would be with him my whole life. He was everything. He may not have been perfect but neither am I. I love him with all my heart and I just can't stand this. I know what a hospital is like, I have been in one before. I don't want to go back but if it is the only way to keep me safe I will. I have come to my best friends mother's house. She is like a mother to me and has a ton of experience helping people with these issues. My friend is also here and she is an RN. So I definitely have support and I am not around him but so far that doesn't seem to be working all that well.
Again, I know this is cliche to say as well but, I know how ya feel. I just found this site tonight myself seeking to end my own self harm. I'll keep up my fight against it and you do the same.
And if you need any help at all, theres no shame in admitting you need it, nor making the call to any centers that can aid you.
Take care~
@LoveAlice: No person is always right and it's awful that you've experienced a poor therapist. However, read that one link within my post (#2) because this one is written by one of DailyStrength's own professionals. And, of course, you seem to care a great deal for visiting at DS, so I know that you do appreciate all that the pros do to keep this site running at its best. I hope that you are well and getting the proper support that you desire at this community group.
