Sciatica is a term meaning pain that originates from compression of the sciatic nerve, the longest and largest nerve in the body. If the sciatic nerve is pinched or compressed (perhaps by a bulging disc in the low back) a patient may experience leg pain--the classic symptom of sciatica.
I have been taking Lyrica since last wednesday so about 5 days. Ever since the day I started it I have not felt hungry... I have no appetite at all and can go all day without eating if I don't remember and make myself eat something. Today I have had one piece of french toast and a few cheezies... no desire to eat again. I know I need to lose a few pounds but this is not the way to do it. I have been so busy with work that it is easy to just keep going and forget to eat.
Has anyone else experienced this side effect of Lyrica? Not sure if its normal or not as the information sheet says it can cause weight gain... not like this it won't.

I think that even tho the info says that it can cause weight gain, these meds affect people differently. When it might cause me to gain weight, it could cause you to lose weight. Everyone is different. You might want to mention it to your doctor and see what he says. But I don't think I'd get too worried about it if everything else is ok. As long as you are feeling ok generally, I'd not worry about it. Just don't let the weight loss get TOO out of hand. God bless. Hugs, Lee
