Recently I was inspired to finally look for a place to live
outside of the boarding house (board and care) where I live.
I wanted to make the right decision to move.
I weighed the pros and cons of the move. I tried to be clear and thought of all the positives that I have in my life where I live.
Then I thought of the sacrifice of those things simply just to 'live on my own.' I made a decision not to move and then became doubting of that decision. I rethought what to do and finally after a lot of the anxieties and stamina issues presented themselves to me. The end of it is, I have decided not to move.
I think the boarding house offers me a lot of what I need and though true, it's a sad thing. I think this realization is part and parcel of living with mental illness. Living with schizophrenia or any mental illness presents
limits that aren't always apparent because their not visible. I think though I have to take what I see here and just incorporate them into my global view and not get too disappointed.
Peace,
Mark

Here is my new brother, copper :) He's so tiny! Moo and Tuck were ok with him on first meeting. Rocket due to his severe aggression will never meet Cooper.

I do wish i lived on my own. Right now I realize I have to wait for that.
Part of what I am realizing is that the limits I live with make me have to give up power over things or really adjust to deal with the power differently (if that makes sense.) I look forward to living on my own, though having people around is nice - I'd like to have more choice in the matter since (and that's accentuated because I have no choice at having Sz.) Peace, MM
