Schizophrenia is a psychiatric diagnosis that describes a mental disorder characterized by impairments in the perception of reality and by significant social dysfunction. Untreated schizophrenia is typically characterized by demonstrating disorganized thinking and experiencing delusions or auditory hallucinations.

Just popping in to leave a quick hello and introduce myself. I'm a 40 something psychology student that just so happens to have schizophrenia. I was looking for a place to house all of my ramblings and looked out when I saw there was a specific support group as well. I've just come out of my second crisis of my lifetime and this one was by far more terrifying than the first. I'm having an okay day. I look forward to speaking with everyone. It's nice to know I won't be the only one that experiences life the entertaining way we do. I've never knowingly had a conversation with another schizophrenic. As you can see I'm having a bit of a rambling day, for that I apologize. I hope this message finds you all well and I look forward this weekend with you in the near future!
