Water Aroebics

I went to water aroebics tonight. I was laid up all last week...I sware. I guess this is what u call a good week? I'm so new to RA and I honestly thought I'd never see this day again. My doctor added Humira about 6 weeks ago and I guess it's finally starting to work. I did skip the MTX last Saturday and it makes me wonder if that's why I feel better as well. Anywho, not bragging but I felt so blessed being able to get out at night and excercise. My mom even joined me (I think she was just worried). I do realize I will have "bad days" so I'm going to take the good ones while there here. One thing for sure I'll never have another surgery...it took forever to recover from my unneccessary ankle surgery in May. Hell I was just diagnosed in April then the surgery literally laid me on my back. It's been a long crawl back but I made it all the way to water aroebics tonight. :-) I pray we all have more better days.

Sounds very nice! Go out at night, spend time with Mom, and move around!

Glad you were able to get out and get a little relief from the water.

I'm getting an Exercise Spa in a couple of weeks and I just can't wait. It's deeper than a regular hot tub so that I can do walking or running in the water and it has jets to provide resistance if I want. It also has rowing and elastic band attachments to provide upper body exercises too. I'm hoping the warm water and therapy jets will allow me to exercise again - it's been a while.

Exercise is helpful with this disease. Sometimes it can feel like being told To Eat Our Greens but that general wisdom is right. As you watch posts on here though you will see it sometimes results in a backlash from The Beast but worth persevering.

Water aerobics, walking in the pool and Yoga or Tai Chi for Arthritis sufferers are all good exercise which is gentle on joints if you have RA.

I have started going to my water aerobics classes again, I love them, but so easy to get out of the habit. Hope you can continue with your class!
