OK....so I had a good day, everything is going along fine. I';m driving to school and I start getting this horrible pain in my knuckle (my hand) and I look and it's huge and sticking out like those awful pictures on the internet of hand RA! What the h@##!! Both of my hands are hurting bad. I had to sit in pain for 4 hours at school. I've had inflammation in one knuckle before (middle finger) but nothing like this. Has anyone else had a sudden attack like this? I guess I'll call my Dr. tomorrow. I'm on 10 mgs prednisone and just started Enbrel last week. Thanks!
It's the frequency that worries me. I go through periods when the meds suppress everything. Then for some reason a few. With Kineret it always went back to normal. With Rituxan, time for a new infusion.
Life, I never know what will swell and pain next. I've had both hands and arms from the elbows to wrist flare almost while I'm watching - this was in the first weeks of onset. It makes it hard to plan ahead.
