Remicade-Remission?

I took my first Remicade infusion Thursday of last week and it seemed to work immediately. My ankles haven't hurt for the first time since my diagnosis. Also, my knees and hands have stopped hurting. I ran several errands yesterday (all day) and woke up with absolutely no pain this morning. I was taken off vicodin a few weeks ago and I now take norco as needed for pain...which haven't been much. I think the Remicade and Arava may be my magic. Keep me in your prayers...god I pray for remission. Good luck all

When I was on Remicade, I noticed after the first dose that my fatigue was so much better. I actually had energy again. It never did much for the swelling and stiffness and then of course I developed the allergy to it and had to stop taking it. But I can sure tell I'm not on it because I
am tired again all the time.

I hope this is your magic potion.

I am hoping and praying for u that its remission! I haven't tried remicade. My pain today is so awful and a bonus
migraine :(

You just answered my question. I am thinking of changing from enbrel to remicade. I had upper sinus respiratory in December for a month but was not taking enbrel then. Started on enbrel one week later and have been to doctor twice with recurring sinus infection. I feel like my sinuses in my cheeks are swollen and inflammed two days after taking enbrel then goes into sinus headache.

Considering swithcing to remicade. How often do you take it? Little uncomfortable with the "IV" injection. Any strong side effects?
