Did your Rheumy suggest taking a quick taper of Prednisone (5 days) to help with the swelling and pain? Swollen feet and red sausage toes are no fun at all.
I can stand RA anywhere exept feet and ankles. I am no stranger to pain, have had lung removed [lung cancer]. That will probably kill me but the RA is unbearable.

I have a Conair bubbling foot spa (best gift my in-laws ever got me!) . . . I can put ice in it and bubble it, can turn on heat and make it vibrate/massage . . . I dissolve a cup of epsom salts in tepid water before adding it . . . . and a few drops of peppermint essential oil . . . tee tree too, if my feet are icky.
One note, if you are gonna use heat, do not add really hot water, as the heat function will make it warmer . . . .
