Hi all. Just woke up and my levgt knee is red, hurting, swollen, and ON FIRE!!! Literally!! ~~well at least it FEELS literal...I have been experiencing this kinds issue since this RA stuff has come back to haunt me. Most of the time it was specifically heated all over deep inside my body. Plus I babe been having a small fever. Today wax a horrible 10pain day. Tomorrow is visit.

I have been upset by that alone cuz I just know my rf factor will not be high enough and I remember from testing before I don't have the DNA gene. Funny that. Grandmas on both sides had RA and my uncle has Spondylosing Ankylosing. Now my mom is bring tested for some form of arthritis in her back.

Anywaay this heat is freaking me out. I will be inside in a minute to reply to my other post sorry I am not usually this bad. Just some bad days and bad stuff and Lotsa crying. I'm a wreck and mostly its becuz I have to face another rheumy tomorrow. I just cant wait to get it out of my way so I can go to the university hospital like inkjoy said and feel so utterly and deliciously grateful.....l love you guys!!!!....Irish

Hopefully your knee will still be red, swollen and on fire when you see the Rheumy because that is exactly what happens to my knees, legs, ankles, arms and wrist when I am having a flare. My Rheumy told me that the numbers on a +RF don't count for anything. All it means is that you are RF+ or RF-. Being seronegative doesn't exclude RA. I'm not quite sure what you mean about not having the DNA gene. I have no family history at all of RA, just lucky enough have it all by myself. LOL
My wonderful Rheumy diagnosed RA before he did blood tests. I had diarised what was happening each day and as soon as he read it, he knew it was RA. I wish, for your sake, that your Rheumy was like mine.
Try to hang in there and be gentle on yourself.

sounds like my knee when RA was in it. You could have a baker's cyst - easy to see on MRI and symptoms are similar.

This is exactly what is happening to me in my hands and feet. I can not get an appointment until the 25 . My meds quit working so I am waiting for my new meds to kick in. I am thinking it is a really really bad flare. Anxious to hear what your doctor says. Hope you get better soon.

I have that in my ankles more often then not and in some of my fingers. My rheumy said that was a flare.. I hope you have some prednisone ... i feel your pain, i slept with compression socks on last night for my ankles... Hope you get some relief...

I used to have this also in my hands but I've been on Orencia infusions and it has really helped. My hands and feet still hurt some but the burning is almost gone. I hope your Doctor prescribes you some good meds! Hang in there and take care!

I had this in my feet..the top of my feet would swell, turn bright red and burn and really hurt...like 20+ on a pain scale...It has been years since that happened...Due I guess to the meds I am on
