I have finally gotten into my dr after bein sick for over a week. And I have the good ole stand by of bronchitis along with the ever present voice loss fever and fluid in my middle ear. I got dick one day after my orencia treatment I am due for the next one on Thursday coming up. I think this wll be my last of the loading dose. I am on nebulizer she gave me depo medrol shot and on bacin (spl) antibiotic 500 mg twice day. I guess its a pretty strong one. Soooo what are my chances of being allowed to go ahead with my infusion? My old rheumy had a don't ask don't tell policy with me he never said a word about me doing my remicade or humira if I was sick. But this new dr always says have you been sick or needed antibiotics in the past two weeks. I sure hope I don't have to skip it yet since I'm not even loaded yet and it hasn't started to even work yet

Geez kiddo, I am so sorry to hear all of this. Wish I had some brilliant answers, but I don't. Try and keep positive, I know it is hard when everything around you seems to be caving in but, you will get thru this too. Trish

I don't know Kim, you're pretty ill & that's a lot of meds. Biaxin is a pretty potent drug with a long list of possible drug interactions, I would be careful. I understand totally why you don't want to stop the oriencia right now, but for me I would talk to my doc about it.
PS I got a kick out your typo, hahahahahahahahahaha----I'm thinking "maybe I need to switch to oriencia" ;o)

Kim, I saw that, too. Wouldn't have said a word, either, but it was a good laugh, thank you.
I would definitely talk to your doctor first. My Rheumy's thoughts are - take MTX, even when on antibiotics but stop the biologics.
Your life sounds like mine at the moment. Let's hold hands across the oceans and help each other to get through it.

Kim- that was a hilarious typo! As a newbie to RD I was hoping that would be the treament to get all of us ladies (sorry guys) through!

Laughs aside, I hope you feel better soon! I haven't had any type of acute infection since my RD started. I cannot imagine dealing with RD syptoms and acute illness. Gentle {{{{HUGS}}}}

Prayers for you!! This is scary stuff new to this or been living with it for awhile. Thankful to have found this site to be able to talk to people who can relate to what I'm feeling and going through. Kim I hope that you start feeling some relief soon!!

God bless you! Some days we just can't win! Praying for a quick recovery and hoping you get some answers soon. I know you're eager to get the RA meds going fast. Please keep us updated and I pray you're feeling better even now.
