Just question to everyone- I have been dx with fibro for about 5 yrs now all labs neg no visible swelling so left at that. Last week went to rheumy with swelling in hands, wrist and nodule on finger and she felt swelling in foot as well said RA now and drew bunch of labs and had x-rays of hands and feet said can have neg labs with RA. Noticed swelling and increased pain in hip as well as 2 nodules this weekend today pain and swelling in left knee as well hands feel more stiff and painful not to return for 4 weeks to rheumy only placed on meloxicam no steroids. Also take lyrica, flexeril, savella and tramadol for fibro pain. Took vicodin last night because hip was so uncomfortable couldn't sleep. Should I call in to rheumy or just wait it out and see if gets worse figure a in flare at the moment.

I would call, I'm in between doctors and the pain is horrendous and the only thing the old dr had given me was naproxen. Luckily I have some Vicodin from a surgery last year, but u can't take it and work, so I grin and bear it till I get home then crash. No time for family. Something has got to give.

Call the rheumy, they cannot help if they don't have documentation of your level of discomfort.

I say call the Rheumatologist. I have to call mine again as well because I have too much fluid on the knees which is causing stiffness and pain. Even though I am due to see the pain management doctor on Thursday.

I agree with everyone else. Call your Rheumy and she should have all the blood test results and also the X-rays of feet and hands.
