I am on the pills, and refilled a 90 day prescription Sept. 5th. If that would have changed, I do not know. I live in Minnesota.

Hello- Yes I'm also running into the same problem and usually I get my meds filled at Wal-Mart but they didn't know when they would get any so I had to change pharmacies as well. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get it at all. I'm so worried.

Do you take the pills or injections? There was a supply problem with the injectable form earlier this summer.

I take the pills and live in Southern California and have had to switch pharmacies due to back order as well.

I am on the pill form - take 2 pills per week, but I could probably get by with one pill per week. That would give me another two weeks while they try to get more in. Or else I might have to switch to getting them thru the mail order pharmacy that I get my Enbrel from. I wonder what the issue is??? arrrrrgggg!!!!

A few months ago, it was on the news that children being treated for a specific cancer were having trouble getting enough for their chemo treatments. I thought that was the injectable that was in short supply at that time. I wonder if they adjusted production to meet those needs, and now the pill form is in short supply. Just wondering, but since I take 10 pills a week, it is scary to think of not being able to get it.

My rheumy mentioned this week at my appointment that the tablets are on shortage now. Call around and see if other pharmacies (like ones with those big discount drug lists, as their warehouses stock more than corner drugstores) have it on hand.

My pharmacists have even done it for me in the past.

Related - I'm wondering what this means? Are they making less? Or are a Lot more people suddenly Taking it? Sorry for your shortage, I really Am (wish I could send you my extras), but also wondering what it means in the larger picture? What's going on?

Just FYI, KiddoGal, at one point I was down to 2 tabs of mtx a week (plus Humira), and my rheumy said that 2 tabs for me was "practically a non-therapeutic dose anyway." That was just before I was able to stop taking mtx altogether. So I suspect that your Enbrel will keep the RA at bay even if you cut back to 1 tab of mtx a week.

My doctor is just starting me on it and she said that in my area they had been out of the pills many places so I may have to do injectables so I will find out later tonight.

The weird part is, MTX tablets are not on the FDA shortage list.

Was able to fill my MTX yesterday.....I was down to just two pills so I was very happy to get the refill. :)

This hit me hard because the pharmacies in my area no longer carry the orange Mylan MTX 2.5mg tabs.

For some reason the new yellow pills I have aren't working or I need to adjust to them. Started flaring badly after taking them - as if I didn't take my MTX at all. I hit all the pharmacies and took their last bit of the Mylan tabs, but now I'm out soon and need to figure a way to get my Mylans!
