Just curious how many of you consider yourselves to be introverted. I've often wondered if there was any correlation between introversion and autoimmune disease such as RA.

I'm an introvert while I'm healthy and going through a flare, though I tend to get more introverted during a flare. This is mostly just because of fatigue and pain, though, I think. Being social can be extremely tiring and its frustrating when you're in good spirits but physically you just can't do it. I'm glad this is a running discussion! Glad to see that I'm not alone :)

Trooper, if this question interests you, read "Quiet" by Susan Cain. I would theorize that introversion per se might not predispose to RA, but the stress of living as an introvert in a culture that values extroverts sure could. Cain's book validates your introversion, just wish I had read it about 30 years ago.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus).
