I ran today!

I ran today for a mile! My knees swelled up some afterwards but an anti-inflammatory combatted that. I won't do it often but I miss running so much and I was feeling so good today. Take the good days while you can.
I just wanted to share something uplifting. My symptoms have been better. The supplements, diet and medication regimine I am using is giving me relief from my RA. Please note my RA seems to be moderate and not severe so I don't want anyone to think that I was crippled with this disease and have made a miraculous turn around. I am pleased with whatever improvement I get and today it's a lot of improvement!
No swelling in my hands or feet (YAY). The ability to walk downstairs like a "normal person' (YAY). The ability to run a mile (YAYAYAY)

That's great! I too feel that way today. I've been able to walk 1.5 miles three times a week (briskly). My feet ache a bit towards the end and I do have to take ibuprofen...but lately, I'm not even taking the mobic, just 2 ibuprofen at night and then another 2 during the day.

My jaw is clicking when I chew gum, so I'm watching that.

Oh, I'm taking 500mg tumeric daily.

walked 3 miles last night. This is huge. Did wake up with swelling in the bottoms of my feet but an anti-inflammatory reduced the swelling. I can also walk downstairs "normally" in the mornings now which is a big improvement for me too. I am so happy to see this improvement. Now I have an appt with my Rheumy on Nov 20th for the first time since Jan. I want to get my inflammation markers checked and see where I'm "really" at. Thanks for all your support and kind words.
