I'm sad (and a bit pissed off!) having NOT heard from my daughter. I saw her Thanksgiving and had one contact from her from her since, when she emailed to let me know she had lost her phone.

As we said goodbye on Thanksgiving, my son-in-law asked when I was leaving on my BIG ADVENTURE to NZ. =Jan. 9. He hugged me and said: "We'll see you before that."

She's been married 4 years. Her husband's family invited me every Thanksgiving and Christmas to join them as they had holiday dinner with my son-in-law's grandfather in a very upscale assisted living. He passed away this year.
