I started having symptoms in March of 2012 after a bout of broncitis. I woke up on a Saturday morning with red, swollen hands and I know this may sound strange.., but my bones were itchy....deep down nothing you could scratch. I thought I was having a reaction to antibiotics although I never had before. I waited for about a week and a half when the pain sent me to my regular Dr. He was puzzled but asked if I had any history of RA in my family... yeah tons. My oldest sister died from complications directly related to her RA she was diagnosed in her twenties and died at 52. He did blood tests and said they were all negative but by then my feet, jaw, elbows and shoulders were achy. He sent me to a Rheumatologist. So here I am almost a year into it and I'm finally creating a post. I have kept track of this site daily since I found it. I want to thank all of you for all of your posts. The information is way better here than any Dr. can give. This is real time and real people not text book stuff. I am currently on plaquinel and methotrexate. Not a whole lot of relief yet but I'm hopeful and hanging in there. Thanks for listening sorry its such a long post.
