I am 9 weeks out from finishing my first Rituxan series. I definitely have more energy but still with some pain in the feet. Next week at this time I will be in Disney World where my daughter is running a half marathon. its going to be a world wind trip Friday till Monday and I am so excited I get to go with my grandkids aged 4 and 6. I just hope I can keep up!! Meanwhile I will keep popping my 15 mg of Prednisone, my Arava and my weekly methotrexate to keep me going.. Wish me well every one, this could be my only trip with my grandkids!

You go for it, love it and don't look back. You may very well spend a day or 2 in bed when you return but I say it will be worth the price. Have fun and enjoy every second. Good Luck :)

Have a great trip. have fun. try renting a wheelchair if you need it. tell us how it went.

Enjoy every minute of this time with your grandchildren (much the same age as mine, both boys). Rest the day before and when you come back but make the most of Disney while you're there. Good luck to your daughter, too.
If needs be, strong painkillers will help you through for a few days.

I am going to be at DisneyWorld at the same time. I plan to be carrying a hoard of meds, wrist splints, good walking shoes and always the Plan B...wheelchair.

Thanks ya'll. I am so looking forward to it...I do have my extra Darvocet, wrist splints, knee support, orthotics and 2 pairs of shoes!!. I am a lot different then when I went before1989, 1993,2001. I really want to avoid the wheelchair if I possibly can!

ELT - I am truly happy for you. Have a wonderful time in Disneyland. If you need to rest, do it! And don't know a wheelchair - it's still an option.

This is going to be so much fun and such good memories, too. About 3 years ago I went to New York CIty for a week with my daughter and a church group. I planned ahead to stay in or near the hotel the middle of the trip to rest and regroup. It seemed to work well for me. That's about all I can add to the other advise.
