I was speaking to Anna on the phone and she asked me to pass on this message to her friends at DS.
As she posted a couple of weeks ago, she ended up in hospital with pericarditis, a rare but life-threatening complication of RA. She was only home two days and again rushed back to ER with chest pains and breathing difficulties. This was dx as pericarditis still plus Pleurisy. She has been at a rehab hospital to rest and regain her strength and hopes to be home on Friday. She has had a really tough time but is her usual positive self.
Aiola (Amanda) - she especially asked after you as you have just been through the same thing. Anna also said that her Cardiologist had never seen a case of Pericarditis so it is extremely rare.
Hopefully she'll be back on the board here in another week or so and can catch up with you all herself.She is thinking of you all and hoping "the beast" is behaving itself for you,

I need to write her a personal note! I'm still really suffering from the pericarditis and lung issues. Blah. I am beginning to lose hope for a day where I won't struggle to breathe.
BUT I have been fighting the beast for my 3rd hospital admission in 2 years since diagnosis & I want to scream out loud (if only I had the energy to) that although I feel weak & sick & sore & very tired, that I have so far won!!!
ME ANNA from OZ score 3..... THE BASTARD BEAST score 0!!!
I figure the beast likes me too much to let go but I am determined and stubborn and at times angry and won't let it win. I have so much to live for and now much venting & journalling to do to deal with the latest trauma that this disease has brought me, so will be quiet for a while on DS & journalling. But I am back..........
Thanks for your kind words, thoughts from across the planet & prayers that must be being answered by whichever higher spiritual being/deity you believe in as I still feel strong in my mind and spirit despite my body feeling like sh*t!
