quite by accident (or should I say out of curiosity and need) I discovered that wearing nitrile (not latex) medical exam gloves under my mittens, my fingers stay warm and I can avoid a Raynaud's episode.
The gloves I have are made by Medline and I have them in size medium. The drug store sells a couple different brands of nitrile medical gloves, but they all were in one-size-fits-all sizing, which doesn't work too well. I needed a closer fit. But I happened to have some left over from a previous hospital visit for a different condition...and they are size medium. I used up the left over gloves and just recently ordered a new box through Medline website. When I wear the nitrile gloves under my mittens, my fingers do not get cold!! Sometimes the nitrile gloves alone work well enough. Also, I can still use the touch screen on my cell phone while wearing the nitrile gloves. Ever since I made this discovery, I wear them every time I go to the grocery store, which has previously always been a very painful experience. Hope this helps someone else

Try a Medical Supply Store. They usually carry all of that sort of thing.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I use latex surgical hand gloves for my medical examinations and practices. I feel comfortable even when using double gloves. It did not cause any problems like skin rashes or irritation.

I'm so glad I found this forum, I thought I was the only one who was tortured at grocery stores! I work in a lab and have found that wearing nitrile gloves over glove liners is uh-may-zing. Keeps my fingers toasty. I'm finally getting more glove/ glove liners so that I can have them in the car, at work, in the purse etc so I'm never without!

I went to the doctor a while ago to see about my allergies. He rubbed my arm and stuck things under the skin. Nothing. He poked and prodded, his phlebotomist drew so much blood people thought that we were dating. The tests all came back negative. Then one day I went back and I told him that I had found the cause of my allergy. It turns out, I am allergic to betrayal.

He gets a terrible cough; he coughs all day and all night, making it hard for him to sleep, and his nose runs.I've tried every allergy medicine, OTC and RX, and none of them affect his...
