No to the pain (on it over 3 months now) but I had my hair cut for the first time since my PE today and the stylist mentioned how thin my hair is on the sides! I've NEVER had a stylist say that, they always comment how thick and how much hair I have. It caught me off guard. I have noticed a lot of hair in my brush but I thought it was just because my hair had gotten so long it would fill it up faster. I guess not. :(

I had hair loss, muscle and joint pain too. I have been off for a month and no more pain and my hair looks better.

Hello everyone, I'm new to this side, I notice joint and muscle pain, next hair loss? only on Coumadi and now Xarelto for a month

Some people have hair loss but most don't. I have hair loss from warfarin and it's not like I'm bald. I just notice a lot more hair in my brush and hands when washing my hair and it looks thinner along my air line.

I had pain from Xarelto. After trying Pradaxa, which gave me other bad side effects, I'm back on Coumadin.

So glad rmb sent me to this thread. I have so much joint and muscle pain in my arms that I cry myself to sleep some nights. Ive been on Xarelto almost 6 months. And yes on the hair loss. Me too.

I was on Coumadin for 6 months and didn't notice anything like that. Then I got clots again end of Feb and they put me on Xeralto.
I don't think I've had any noticeable side effects from that either, knock on wood.

Yes to thinner hair. Not balding, just noticeable at my part. I did have some aching muscles(joints) when I first started but haven't noticed it lately. I started on it 1/9/15.

No for me on pain as well. I've been on Xarelto for two and a half years now. I went through a bout of hair loss about three months after starting, but I attribute that to the trauma of my emboli - I was very sick with high fevers and viral pneumonia for several weeks. I read that it isn't uncommon to go through a period of extreme hair loss up to six months after a severe trauma. Most of my hair grew back, although it is somewhat thinner than it used to be, but what I've noticed most is that it has become quite curly.

I've noticed sensitivity when I touch my legs but not pain per se...I have had alopecia so I am worried if hair loss is a side effect. I barely started Xeralto a week ago.

I had joint pain and a general 'flu-like' feeling but it was only for a few weeks and it resolved. I also hear what others are saying about hair being thinner....I was on holiday recently and for the first time ever got a sun-burnt head!

However these are nothing compared to the benefits and although it wasnt my choice to change from warfarin I am so glad I did it.

OMG I never associated the stupid muscle and joint pain & weakness to the Xarelto. It just never dawned on me that's what it could be. The thing I have noticed the most is the appetite loss, but unfortunately no weight loss with the loss of appetite, what's with that?
