Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
Eh, that name describes it extremely well!!!
Yup, I'm in that same situation, my cardio level is waaaaaaaaaaay low and I did'nt even go to PE. Hav been doing nuttin for the last year and a half and just last week I started doing some stationary bike and threadmill and I realised that I was soooooooo out of shape comparedto my old self, who could go riding in extreme conditions for eight hours in a day...
You HAVE to remember, START SLOWLY, don't expect this to happen overnight.
I started with 15 minutes for two days and then tried upping it for 30 minutes on the third day and have been there everyday.
Feel your body talking to you, it knows.
in other news, ive been off of coumadin for a week and a half now. nice to finally have my old guts back. i didnt realize how much of a safety blanket it was for me though. every little twitch in my legs has me ready to jump for the phone and dial 911 in case theres a new thrombus floating around in there.
funny how sometimes when you get what you want, you dont necessarily want it.
