Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

So I take the warfarin for the PE from March. My first cycle was the usual 3-4 days. My next cycle was 8 days of kind of light bleeding, next one 9 with similar, the one after was 14 days with 6-7 days of bleeding about .5 liter each day. This last one was 22 days of light bleeding, too light for tampons and similar, too heavy for pantiliners etc. My next period is to start next week, if it goes on normal pattern. That one will probably be 28-30 days. (my normal is 3-4 days, with about 36 hours of hard bleed in the middle).
Saw the gynae, she wants to put me on Mirena, but I have to avoid any hormonal treatment for anything, as it would upset other conditions affected by hormones. Come to find out my gynae has gotten Mirena two months ago and has been spotting every day for 2 months.
So why on Dog's Green Earth, would she recommend a solution to me that would essentially give me the problem on a continuous basis??
So I am stuck with this bleeding. There's nothing they can do but they're willing to consider a solution that will make the bleeding worse, or a permanent solution that seems to not be so permanent, hysto is not on the table.....and now I don't know if I am going off warfarin at 6 months, since doc is now saying, we'll scan at 6 months, not you're on track for going off at 6 months.

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
And one of my other doctors has flat out said no to it.
OTOH, at this rate, I know that if I'm not bleeding, I am PMSing. Nice and easy at this point.
I hate this.
I am glad that everyone seems happy with it. I simply cannot take any hormones anymore due to another serious medical condition.
I am also tired of dealing with doctors and lab tests and side effects etc....It's been 18 months, between my health, my mother's cancer, and my father's cancer. Dad has about 2-3 months left and so there's been ALOT OF DOCTORS, HOSPITALS ETC.
I did the copper IUD, which was really nice. A little crampy and a little bit longer periods for a while, but totally fine when it came to birth control. Now, I've done Essure for permanent birth control. Also, really nice to not have to worry about it.
