Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
Hello All
This is my first post, but I've been following many of your posts for the last 3 months as I recover from a severe PE and DVT in my left calf.
I was on Xarelto for the first 2.5 months but was suffering from bad reflux and heartburn so my hemotologist switched me to Eloquis. I still get some reflux but not nearly as bad.
My question however is has anyone experienced weight gain from either of these meds? In the last 3 weeks I've started doing some working out again...4-5 mile walk once a week with light aerobic and weight training twice a week...and yet I'm not losing any of the weight I've put on from being so senitary for several months.
I'm 43 and was working out 4-5 times a week prior to my PE and DVT so I feel it shouldn't be this difficult to lose the 12lbs I've gained In the last few months.
Has anyone else find these meds to cause weight gain?

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
