Vitamins and Eliquis use?

I asked doctor about vitamin use and eliquis and it is ok for daily multi vitamin, but when asked about higher dose the doctor said to ask a pharmacist. I did and was given a very general what not to take form only. I searched online and seem to not find anything about higher doses of any type of vitamin can or can not be used? I understand vitamin E is not good for Eliquis. 



Does anyone know if there would be a problem taken higher doses of vitamin D, C and Zinc. I have done this prior to being put on Eliquis during the winter months to stay healthy and avoid gettiing sick. Thanks in advance if anyone has information about this.

I don't know what you mean by a higher dose. Like, more than what is recommended daily?

I have bottles of Vitamin D at 1000iu, vitamin c at 500mg and zinc at 50 mg. Sorry, I should have stated that.

I’m on xarelto and I take 2ooo iu of vitamin D daily. I can’t speak to the vitamin or zinc, as I take those here and there, when I feel a cold coming on. I also took the above when I was in warfarin. I would say if your pharmacist didn’t specifically tell you to avoid the supplements when you asked they should be fine. When I was on warfarin I asked my pharmacist about medication and supplement interactions all the time because so much could affect your INR.

So I know xarelto and eliquis are different but I would guess if your aren’t finding anything specific in your research on line or through your pharmacist it’s probably ok. Sometimes a simple google search on “eliquis interactions” is all you need.

    We all have 24 hours in a day.  How we spend these hours is important.  Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do.  Gonna have to work on that.Your turn.  Tell me another truth.
