Yes, I've used the turmeric capsules on and off for a few years. Honestly, I've never notice it affecting my INR. I'm sure it could affect your INR but it to what degree, hard to say but if you get your INR tested and it's not therapeutic, your doc will likely adjust your dosage regardless of the reason.

Once in a while, I use it for arthritis caused by my ulcerative colitis, to try to relieve the inflammation. I've not used it in a while but I think I was taking 450 mgs 3-4 times a day.

It's hard for me to say if it really helps. It seemed like it may help but because my pain and stiffness seems to peak and wane pretty regularly, I can't tell if it's the tumeric or just it improving on its own.

It's a fairly benign thing to take so that's why I give it a shot. You could try if for a couple of weeks, see if it helps and also check your INR to see if it's causing major fluctuations.

I think it's worth a try. And if it doesn't work, you've got a supply for making some serious curry.

Tumeric is AMAZING!! I can't take any anti-inflammatories after my GI bleed, and, well... tylenol does nothing. I drink Tumeric tea. Fill a mason jar about 3/4 full with raw honey, squeeze the juice of a fresh lemon or two, and add as much tumeric as you can tolerate. The recipe also calls for black pepper, but I really don't like pepper, so I leave it out! Put a few spoonfulls in hot water and there you go! It tastes yummy and IT WORKS!!! I don't get nearly as much tumeric in a cup of tea as would be in a capsule, but it still helps. It CAN increase the risk of bleeding, even in people not on warfarin, so I'm careful not to take too much.
