Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

Hello AGAIN!
Gosh, sometimes I think I overpost.....I totally know I do, ha ha ha! Hopefully some of the threads that ensue are as helpful to others as they are to me.
In order to avoid the hair loss issues I was considering taking a Biotin supplement, but I have had a hard time finding information about its interaction with Warfarin. Anyone else taking it? Anyone else have any information about it?
A few other supplements I wanted to start taking are iron, calcium & Coenzyme Q10 (heard this one might not be allowed). If you have any information about these, or any supplements, I would greatly appreciate it!! Hoping to incorporate as many healthy additions to my new life as possible.

Now that I am not talking to my whatever best friend, I realized that her life is full of drama. I had grown tired of hearing her stories about her boyfriend many months ago. She basically had been monopolizing conversations for that long too. She pretty much stopped asking me questions about me. I passed her in front of her classroom the other day and didn't even look at her. I am...

I know that a lot of vitamins already contain folic acid so if you're supplementing on top of that, maybe you're taking too much. I thing I'm taking total of 800mcs (400 in my vitamin and 400 via the supplement). I am going to question my GI doc on the supplements though again next time I see him, because my understanding is that there may not be the colon cancer fighting benefits as previously thought.

Pre cancerous polyps BLOW. I had a huge oneremoved last summer that my GI is STILL dealing with. I've had UC for years and so I am used to the colonoscopies and stuff and understand the cancer risks from that but an unrelated polyp is the thing that now apparently my biggest concern. RATS. On the other hand, thank goodness for regular colonoscopies because that's how they found this bugger. But now I'm reading that too much folic acid may actually cause pre cancer polyps. So who knows. That's why I lay off reading so many studies. It all just ends up contradicting itself in the end.
Jean1014, I'm sorry you have gut issues. It's not sexy, not at all!
Sorry Lifeat27 for hogging your thread!
I know CQ-10 is not allowed, and I know that calcium is a natural anti-coagulant, so I don't know why this wouldn't be OK. Just remember to be consistent with your supplements, so that your INR and warfarin dosages can level out.
