Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
I take approx 2500 mgs of vitamin D3 a day with no impact to my INR that I can tell. The other ones I don't have experience with except that my multi vitamin contains C and E.
I think if you take a wacky amount of any of these you could see an impact. I've heard people say vitamin C changes their INR but I don't know if that's true. I don't binge on anything with vitamin C, so I can't say from personal experience.
Reconsider taking vitamin E supplements though - it does have an anticoagulant effect and along with warfarin could cause problems. There's scads of info online about vitamin E & warfarin to back this up.
It's also relatively easy to get through dietary sources - few people have vitamin E deficiencies in this country, so supplementation is really not needed and recent info suggests it could even be unhealthy...here's one good article on it from WebMD

If you take any supplements, make sure they're MANUFACTURED in the USA, and buy from a reliable source. Many are made in China and don't contain what you think they do....
I also take calcium and magnesium but 2 hours apart since the pharmacist told me they are better absorbed that way. I added an iron supplement - Feosol- since I tend to become anemic off and on and hope it helps to fight fatigue too.
Good luck to all of us nutritionally!
I take a multi-vitamin with no problems either. I think the best thing to do is take supplements that have your recommended daily intake, rather than therapeutic doses.
I'm a fan of getting my nutrients through food sources anyway, unless there's a specific deficiency that needs correcting. What IS a therapeutic dose of a vitamin? Who the hell knows? But it's easy to overdose on a garlic supplements - not so easy to eat enough garlic to cause problems. You'd lose all your friends first.
I take 2000 IU of Vit D per day, but have been on that consistently even before the PE, so no info on that.
