If you are really concerned about it you can talk to your doctor and get a pertussis vaccine.

Not sure anyone can answer that here. I'd agree with Meg to discuss concerns and questions with your doc. Whooping cough is really contagious and a couple of years ago, my doc thought I had it based on symptoms, so he tested me, but I ended up not having it. If you do, it's treatable.

I don't know much about this, so I agree with the others that it's best to talk to your doctor. Depending on your proximity at work to the people who are confirmed cases, it could be possible he'd put you on treatment for it whether you show symptoms or not. Again, I don't know much about this, and I don't know how/if it's different with children and adults, but the year my son started school there was a classmate who had a confirmed case, and the health department in our area sent home a letter saying that although my son was vaccinated for it, they were requiring us to go to the doctor and basically treat for it as if he had it, because he had been in "close proximity" to the child who had it. I had no idea they would make us do that, since I assumed that since my son was vaccinated there wouldn't be any issues. He had to stay home from school a couple of days and go on a 10-day course of antibiotics, and it was antibiotics particular for whooping cough, not just the regular stuff you get for an infection. Also, if you happen to have regular contact with any small children it may be best to go ahead and get treated so as to prevent the possibility of spreading it even if you don't get sick. There has been such a resurgence of this sickness that doctors do seem to take it very seriously. Let us know what your doctor says.
