By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
Why do you think he said that? It's making me a bit concerned that he doesn't think it's normal when it seems like everyone here has it post-PE.
I kept asking him why he thinks that but he just keeps saying that it's not normal.
Do you have a primary care doctor? Might want to check in with that doctor and see what he thinks.
Is your breathing a little better since you last posted? Any chance some of the shortness of breath is in part due to anxiety?
Pulmonologist says it would go away within a few weeks which it has been a few weeks already...
My breathing issues come and go though. There was a huge pause in short breathness then came back out of nowhere, then went away, etc.
I don’t want to dismiss anything you are feeling but and if it’s something your doc’s think further investigation they should pursue that. But sometimes it really is just a combination of factors and then when you are stressed and worried, it just can feel overwhelming, physically, mentally and emotionally.
