Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

I'ts Blood Clot Awareness month and I find myself wanting to make sure people know symptoms and understand the importance of paying attention to those symptoms.
And then I find myself with symptoms this morning that might be a pinched nerve, but it is severe enough and wide spread that I have to give it a little more thought. It reminds me a little of the pain when I had my PE but the location is further back in my chest. I've had some less severe chest tightness / pain within the last week that I wrote off as stress.
I have a call in to my doctor and I will definitely be seeing a doctor or the emergency room today.
I think I'm writing here because I know the people here will understand. I'm not really scared, but I do get depressed that when I feel pains I need to get checked out and it might result in several kinds of tests due to my history.
I'm hoping this is nothing and I think it is nothing, but I would be going against my own advice to everyone else if I didn't go get checked out. I'm hoping it's just a pinched nerve. I really don't feel like going through the PE experience again. While the extra tests might depress me, they can hopefully let me find the cause quickly and be able to stop having to be concerned about it.

Now that I am not talking to my whatever best friend, I realized that her life is full of drama. I had grown tired of hearing her stories about her boyfriend many months ago. She basically had been monopolizing conversations for that long too. She pretty much stopped asking me questions about me. I passed her in front of her classroom the other day and didn't even look at her. I am...

Just had an interesting conversation with ChatGPT! It was kind of like talking kindly to myself. You should get the App. It's free.
I hope things do come out okay, and yes, please let us know.
It's been almost 3 years for me. I think I've had 3 ultrasounds in that time for pain in my leg or arm. This was my first time going to the ER with pain in my back/chest. I wasn't scared. I just knew I had to go get it checked. It was even worth the 2 tries at an IV with the contrast dye breaking though the vein and then 2 additional painful tries to get more blood. My arms are all black and blue but I now have the weight of not knowing lifted off of me.
They gave me a muscle relaxer for the pain in my back, some pain meds (I asked for no narcotics). I went home and slept all afternoon and all night. Now my pain is almost all gone and I feel like I can move on. I do have a follow-up with a doctor as a routine check.
What did I learn from this? 1) It's worth getting checked out. 2) there will definitely be times when you feel pain very much like the PE and it turns out to be nothing at all so it's not worth the worry until the tests come back. just get checked!
Anyhow, not trying to hijack the thread. Glad it wasn't anything major.
