Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
After reading your post i jumped up, at last someone else that has the same syptoms as me.
Mine also is when i am lying down ,its when i am exhaling i feel it the most.
After a visit to the doctors i have an appt with the hospital in a few weeks.
Did you manage to visit your doctor and i hope you are feeling better.
I did find it much better when you go to bed to put a few more pillows under me so it raises you up so you are not laying flat.
The feeling eventually tapered off.
Now ten weeks into recovery I’m starting to feel it again when I take a deep breath in the my middle to lower back.
Has anyone else experienced return of symptoms? I was feeling much better....now I’m starting to feel fatigued and out of breath again.
Yes I have had the same rattling in my lungs but never felt it in my back. I am approx. 14 weeks into recovery and all I can say is time will be the healer you will get bad days and good days, like you a was feeling better then boom back it was. Judging by the rest of the posts I have read this all seems to be part of the course, With me it is the nights I hate I find it painful to lie down without the pain returning and that rattle in the lungs so tend to try to sleep more elevated. If you are worried I would go back to your doctor and voice your concern as its better to be safe then sorry.
Hope it all clears soon for you and don't over do it with your excercises.
