Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

I really am exhausted, but it isn't from my PEs (for a change). Seriously, I am just completely worn out from trying to keep up with all my medical stuff. I've been at the pharmacy so many times this week I'm surprised they don't know me by name.
I've got sinus surgery in a week and a half. I'm taking a bazillion pills right now and just started a new one today. I've got sinus washes twice a day and ointment I have to put in my nose twice a day and Lovenox shots twice a day and pills twice a day. I've gotten into bed more than once this week and realized that I forgot something I needed to do.
Every time I see one doc it seems like I have to make another five phone calls as a result. The new med I got today? It'll interact with warfarin and make my INR go up. Not a problem since I'm on Lovenox right now to prepare for surgery, but it will be a problem IF I'm still taking it after surgery and my primary is trying to regulate my INR. So, another phone call tomorrow to my primary (who manages my blood) to see if that'll be an issue.
And I'm talking to my parents tonight about the surgery. They're very anti-Western medicine and I've been putting off telling them about the surgery. Surprisingly they were supportive but my mom made an off-hand comment about whether I should be having surgery with the infections in my sinuses ... something I don't know. So another phone call tomorrow to the ENT about that.
And my cardiologist called and wants me to make an appointment for January. Seriously??? I'm just trying to get through November right now. And I have to deal with my high cholesterol after surgery. And I probably should see an endocrinologist to figure out about my adrenal adenoma. And my doc wants me to come in for a full physical at some point too. And I've got another appointment in early December to see if the surgery I had in March *finally* worked.
I'm exhausted just typing it all in, never mind living through it. My health needs its own calendar and to-do list. I thought 2010 was horrid with the 80+ doctor's appointments, but it turns out that 2011 has not been much of an improvement. I can only hope that 2012 is better.
I'm TIRED.

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
my prayers are with you. i would say it will calm down after your surgery but i have learned not to count on that just be patient as you can as it is necessary to get the good end result.
Rest where you can and stay focused on the end result.
Take care :-)
I know you're not asking for advice, but ... something that helps me when it gets this overwhelming is to try to really chunk it all down by compartmentalizing it so that it's more manageable, more simplified. Otherwise, you feel like you're drowning in all the STUFF.
I really understand what you're going through with being overwhelmed. It's not going to be like this forever so try to keep that tucked in the back of your mind when you think you're going to either loose your marbles, or never get out of bed again.
You are always there for all of us that need support. So vent away as much as you need to and me and the others will be there to support you. Getting your self prepared for surgery is tough enough and having all the extra stuff that you have had to is overwhelming. Pacing your self and vent to us as much as you need too.
