By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
I have been testing monthly for a few years now, and more recently if my INR is up or down, but then we go back to monthly once it stabilizes again. You start getting more confident with it as time goes on.
Sigh, like I said, never used to worry needlessly before. Now, I worry about every little symptom. I guess that comes from being betrayed by your body :(
