Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

It is day three of having my arm feel sore. It is only my forearm and it feels as though I overworked every single muscle in my forearm. I measures both arms and the arm that is sore has about 1inch larger diameter than my other arm. Weird. Any advice? I see my Dr. on Tuesday, but might call tomorrow and see if she can squeeze me in.
I know DVT in the arms is less likely than the legs, but another thing is that I am still on Lovenox shots, so I should be protected. The things that make me feel like it is a clot is that it is sore, feels kind of constricted when I am just sitting still and the veins on the backside seem to bulge more than the veins on the other arm. Eek! Am I freakin' out over nothing (again!)?!

I was told to use light heat on my DVT leg after my first DVT. Felt really good and I never had an issue. Some folks use ice for the same reason. I've never heard not to use them because of the warfarin so I'd question your source.

Yeah, I use heat and ice for numerous aches and pains, and I'm on warfarin. Not an issue.

Sweet, well then it is time for a good icing on this arm because it is still sore and swollen!

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
